El viatge de la Marta

For the poster design of the film El viaje de Marta, directed by Neus Ballús, we drew inspiration from an element within the story itself: the images recorded by the hotel’s African guide with his battered camera, which he uses to film his clients, the tourists. Due to a technical malfunction, the camera duplicates the images, creating an almost kaleidoscopic effect that multiplies and shifts the figures. This visual resource helped us build the graphic identity of the film, framing the protagonist family within this play of repetitions and crossed gazes, while also evoking the emotional and cultural displacement experienced by the characters.
