La mort de Guillem

For the poster of La mort de Guillem, directed by Carlos Marqués-Marcet, we developed a sober and deeply symbolic visual concept that engages with the film’s emotional intensity.
The proposal is built around a white background that evokes emptiness and absence, turning silence into a key narrative element.

The title, rendered in swift and energetic brushstrokes, introduces a contained tension that reflects the political and human weight of the story. In contrast to this apparent simplicity, we incorporated one of the film’s most harrowing frames, the moment when the parents receive the devastating news, positioned in the lower right corner. This compositional decision creates a deliberate imbalance that reinforces the sense of instability and shock, amplifying the emotional impact of the story. An exercise in visual synthesis in service of a necessary act of remembrance.
