“This project began to take shape during my years as a Graphic Design student at Llotja, in Barcelona.
At that time, I dreamed of one day creating an ad for Volkswagen. So I took advantage of an assignment in the Advertising course, where we were only asked to make a storyboard for an imaginary commercial, to create this little story.
For many years, it remained just a flipbook stored in a drawer. With the arrival of the pandemic, I decided to bring it back to life.
I scanned all the pages and turned them into the frames of a short film. With the help of friends who collaborated on sound editing and voiceovers, the project finally came to life.

“As a university lecturer, I occasionally use this project as an example to show my students that it’s possible to create projects using very simple tools like a photocopier, cut-out paper, and colored pencils.”

The aim of this campaign was to promote the Festival beyond Barcelona and Catalonia,
with the goal of projecting it internationally.
The DOCSBarcelona International Documentary Film Festival is a global benchmark in the field of documentary festivals,
and it aspires to become a point of reference in the world of documentary cinema.
Moreover, it seeks to challenge the perception that documentaries are boring films or reserved for an intellectual elite.
Documentaries, beyond being informative, can also be entertaining, emotional, or simply spectacular.
